Three generations (and growing) of trusted expertise in boat upholstery and marine canvas—craftsmanship passed down, materials chosen for lasting performance, and service you can rely on for every voyage.
All Boat Cushions & Upholstery llc can recover or recreate your boat cushions and seating to look, fit, and perform like new. We offer flexible options depending on the condition of your existing components and your budget: full replacement with new wood and foam, partial re-use of salvageable parts, or focused repairs.
Options we provide
Full rebuild (new wood and new foam)
When underlying wood decks, support frames, or foam cores are rotten, crushed, or waterlogged, we recommend a full rebuild.
We construct new marine-grade plywood or composite bases, cut and shape new high-density, marine-grade foam to your exact contours, and upholster with new marine vinyl or other approved fabrics.
Benefits: maximum longevity, improved comfort and support, prevention of hidden rot or mold, and the opportunity to change colors, textures, or cushion profiles.
Reuse existing wood and foam when feasible
If your wood bases are structurally sound and foam retains shape and resilience, we can strip the old cover, inspect and repair underlying parts, then recover using new fabric.
We perform moisture testing and structural checks. Small areas of damage can be patched or reinforced without full replacement.
Benefits: lower cost, faster turnaround, and reduced waste while still refreshing the look.
Replacing foam only
If the wood base is good but the foam is compressed, stained, or deteriorated, we can replace the foam cores while keeping the original frames.
We use marine-grade, closed-cell or high-resilience foam options depending on use (cushion comfort, flotation requirements, UV and salt resistance).
Benefits: improved comfort and support at a moderate cost.
Repairs and partial restorations
We repair tears, broken seams, zippers, piping, and hardware. We fix sagging seats, re-secure loose backing, replace straps and staples, and repair welded or snapped frames.
We can patch small areas of rot in wood using marine epoxy or reinforcement, and do spot foam repairs when appropriate.
Benefits: economical fixes that extend service life without full rebuilds.
What we inspect and why it matters
Wood substrate: check for rot, delamination, soft spots, and fastener integrity.
Foam condition: assess compression set, staining, waterlogging, and odor.
Cover fabric: check UV degradation, mildew, seam failures, and hardware.
Fasteners, straps, and attachments: ensure safe mounting and drainage.
Materials and standards we use
Marine-grade plywood or composite board for bases.
High-density, marine-rated foam (including closed-cell options for flotation).
Industry-grade marine vinyls and performance fabrics rated for UV, mildew, and saltwater exposure.
Corrosion-resistant fasteners and marine adhesives.
How we decide between reuse and replacement
We base recommendations on a hands-on inspection and an honest assessment of safety, longevity, and cost-effectiveness.
If repair will be temporary or conceal a larger problem (like hidden rot or mold), we will advise full replacement.
If components are in good structural condition, we’ll propose reuse options to save time and money.
Turnaround, pricing, and warranty
Turnaround depends on scope: repairs and simple recoveries typically take less time than full rebuilds. We’ll give a clear estimate and timeline after inspection.
Pricing is quoted per project based on materials, labor, and complexity.
We stand behind our work with a warranty covering workmanship and materials (details provided with each estimate).
How to proceed
Bring your cushions to our shop or schedule an on-site inspection. Provide photos and descriptions if an in-person visit isn’t immediately possible.
We’ll evaluate options, explain tradeoffs, and provide a written estimate for repair, reuse, or full replacement.
All Boat Cushions & Upholstery llc will recommend the best balance of durability, performance, and cost for your boat’s cushions—whether that means refurbishing what’s still sound or rebuilding with new wood and foam for long-term peace of mind.
